The Reina Sofía National Museum and Art Centre is one of Spain’s leading spaces for modern and contemporary art. Located in the former General Hospital of Madrid, a historic 18th-century building transformed into a museum, it opened its doors in 1990 and became an international reference thanks to its outstanding collection of Spanish and European art from the 20th and 21st centuries.
